About

“Living a life of daring greatly means cultivating the courage to be vulnerable, to set boundaries, and to let ourselves be seen.” - Brene Brown

~

I feel deeply honored to support the men and women who serve our communities—as first responders, military members, and the spouses and partners who stand beside them. My work is rooted in both professional training and personal experience. As the spouse of a firefighter and veteran, I have witnessed firsthand the unique pressures that come with these professions—the long shifts, the weight of difficult calls, and the way the job can follow you home.

Because of this, I have a deep respect for the culture of the fire service, law enforcement, emergency medicine, and the military. I understand how cumulative stress, critical incidents, and the constant responsibility of caring for others can impact mental health, relationships, and a person’s sense of balance. Supporting this community is not just my clinical focus—it is something I care about personally and feel deeply connected to.

My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a space where people can slow down, feel understood, and begin to process the experiences that may have been carried alone for far too long. Whether someone is navigating post-traumatic stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, or the emotional toll of the job, my goal is to provide a steady, supportive environment where healing and resilience can grow.

My Work with First Responders and Their Families

Much of my clinical work centers on supporting first responders, military members, and their spouses or significant others. These careers often require individuals to compartmentalize difficult experiences in order to keep moving forward, but over time those experiences can accumulate and begin to impact sleep, relationships, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.

I work with clients who are navigating critical incidents, occupational trauma, cumulative stress exposure, and the challenges that come with living in high-demand professions. I also enjoy supporting spouses and partners who often carry their own unique stressors while supporting someone in these fields.

In our work together, I strive to create a collaborative and practical therapeutic process—one that respects the realities of these professions while helping individuals reconnect with their own capacity for healing, resilience, and growth.

Everyday I see the Power of Resilience!

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved with the First Responder Support Network (FRSN), where I volunteer as a clinician at both the West Coast Post-Trauma Retreat (WCPR) and the Significant Others and Spouses (SOS) Retreats.

Through these retreats, I have had the privilege of working alongside an incredible community of clinicians and peer supporters who are committed to helping responders and their families process trauma and reconnect with themselves and each other. These experiences continue to shape my understanding of the profound resilience within the responder community and deepen my commitment to this work.

My Approach to Therapy

My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy works best when people feel safe enough to be honest about what they’re carrying, without judgment or pressure.

One of the primary approaches I use in my work is Brainspotting, a powerful neurobiological trauma therapy that helps access and process experiences that may be held deeply in the brain and body. I have completed Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2 training, and I integrate this work to help clients process trauma, reduce emotional reactivity, and reconnect with a greater sense of stability and clarity.

In addition to trauma work, I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, burnout, life transitions, and performance-related stress. I also enjoy working with athletes and individuals facing performance blocks, helping them move through the mental barriers that can interfere with confidence and focus.

Here, you don't have to explain the job to be Understood.
