Mission at Second Wind Counseling
FOSTERING BALANCE & RESILIENCE
Step into your Strength as your authentic, down-to-earth self — and experience Greater Confidence, better relationships, and less overwhelm.
At Second Wind Counseling, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized therapy to support those who serve and protect our communities, as well as those navigating life's challenges. Our specialized services focus on supporting military personnel, first responders, and their spouses and significant others, helping them process trauma, build resilience, and foster emotional well-being. We understand the unique pressures and struggles faced by these groups—whether from work-related trauma, moral injury, complex trauma, or the impact of high-stress careers on personal life.

In addition, we proudly offer our expertise to non-military and non-first responder clients as well, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals from all walks of life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relational issues, low self-esteem, codependency, prenatal/postpartum concerns, or sports-related trauma, we are here to support you.

At Second Wind Counseling, we specialize in individual psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for both adults and teens. We help clients work through challenges like performance anxiety, trauma, and emotional blocks—whether the issues are short-term or deeply rooted. Whether you’re seeking clinical counseling, vocational guidance, or performance enhancement, our goal is to create an environment of encouragement, compassion, and understanding.

We are here to help you achieve the growth and change you desire, providing the tools, strategies, and support to unlock your full potential and live a fulfilling life.

Our Team
"When needing compassion, we need someone who is deeply rooted, is able to bend and, most of all, embraces us for our strengths and struggles," Brene Brown.
At Second Wind Counseling, we believe that every individual possesses the innate strength to overcome life's challenges, and we're here to guide and support them in this journey. Our clinicians prioritize creating an empathetic, non-judgmental space where every voice is heard, every emotion is validated, and every client feels seen and understood. Your mental wellbeing is our highest priority, and we're here to walk this path of healing with you.
