Everyday I see the power of Resilience!
About
“Living a life of daring greatly means cultivating the courage to be vulnerable, to set boundaries, and to let ourselves be seen.” - Brene Brown
I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to understand our experiences, reconnect with ourselves, and listen to what both our minds and bodies are telling us. My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the understanding that our experiences can live not only in our thoughts and stories, but also in our bodies and nervous systems.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and am trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. I incorporate trauma-informed and body-based practices into my work to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, work through difficult experiences, and build greater resilience. My background as a Classical Pilates instructor for 16 years has also shaped the way I understand the powerful connection between movement, the nervous system, and emotional well-being.
As a firefighter spouse, I have a personal connection to the first responder community and the unique demands that can come with this lifestyle. I understand that the impact of the job often extends beyond the person wearing the uniform and can affect relationships, family life, and the entire household. This perspective has given me a deep appreciation for the strength, sacrifice, and challenges experienced by first responders and their loved ones.
I strive to create a counseling space where you feel seen, respected, and supported without judgment. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and discover what healing and growth can look like for you.
Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life, I will meet you with curiosity, compassion, and a whole-person perspective. My hope is that together we can help you feel more connected, grounded, and equipped to move forward.
I am particularly passionate about supporting first responders, military members, and the spouses and significant others who stand beside them. I also welcome individuals who may be hesitant about therapy, have had disappointing experiences in the past, or simply aren't sure where to begin. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are and know that you do not have to explain the culture, the job, or the weight you've been carrying to be understood.
Healing is not about becoming someone different. It's about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath stress, survival, and responsibility.
Whether you're seeking support for trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply want to feel more like yourself again, I would be honored to walk alongside you in the process.
Recovery is possible. Growth is possible. And you do not have to do it alone.
This is a Space where you can be Fully Unapologetically you.
